to change the date/place of birth in the passport, you have to apply for a "Re-issue" of passport and get the specified change done in the personal particulars.

2) you need to file affidavit stating reasons for change of place of birth

3) proof of place of birth

4) court orders for change of date of birth in passport

Dear client,

To change the place of birth in your passport, you will need to follow the procedure outlined by the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK). According to the PSK guidelines, if you need to change the place of birth in your passport, you will need to provide a First Class Judicial Magistrate's/Sub-Divisional Magistrate's (Civil Court) Court Order. This is required when the change in place of birth involves a change of state or country or if there are conflicting documents.

In your case, as your place of birth was initially mentioned as India in your passport, and you now have an original birth certificate that indicates a different place of birth, you may need to obtain a Court Order from the First Class Judicial Magistrate's/Sub-Divisional Magistrate's (Civil Court) to change the place of birth in your passport.

You will need to submit the Court Order along with your passport application to the Passport Seva Kendra. Additionally, if the change in place of birth involves a change of country, you will also need to attach Document No. 7 (Certificate of Citizenship by MHA).

It is advisable to check the specific requirements and procedures for changing the place of birth in your passport with the Passport Seva Kendra and consult with a lawyer if you need legal guidance on the matter.

For incorporating  change of place of birth in the passport replacing the place of birth with the one mentioned in it, you may have to get an affidavit duly attested by judicial magistrate first class within your jurisdiction and attach it with the application form for reissue of passport and also attach a copy of the attested photocopy of the birth certificate  along with certificate of citizenship obtained from Ministry of home affairs.
