• OBC certificate for migrants in Delhi

My father migrated to Delhi from Kerala in 1981 and belongs to OBC of Kerala. This caste is listed in State list of Delhi for OBC but not listed in Central list of Delhi. I want Central OBC certificate (to apply for Central govt. colleges/employment). Kindly guide me how to get this central certificate from Delhi/Kerala.

If the caste is listed in the central list then there is no problem. Fill the form and proceed accordingly.

If it is not listed then you can't get the benefit of reservations.

Hi,

You may get the certificate from Delhi and you need to submit an affidavit stating that you shifted to Delhi but your status remained as OBC of Kerala. There is change of place but no change of social status.

If Central List does not contain the caste then you are not entitled for the CG OBC Certificate either from Kerala or Delhi.

Dear Client,

As the caste of yours does not fall under the list of central OBC list, the central government would not consider you as an OBC candidate.

The concept of the non-creamy layer comes after. If you want to apply for NCL your caste must be under the list of the central OBC.

Hello,

if the caste is not listed in the central list then you can not obtain the same for the central job.

You may take certificate for the state list in which the caste is listed.

If your caste   is not listed in the central list of OBC category, how can you expect a community certificate to that effect.

If your community is coming under central list of Kerala state, then you may apply for the community certificate from Kerala before the concerned revenue department by producing the evidences of your father and your community.

Dear Sir,

The issue of caste certificate will be from your origin place. If you change the state they will not issue the caste certificate. If you are settled in that state then they will issue caste certificate. Burden of proof of caste lies on you. Another thing is your caste in the previous state may be B.C or O.B.C but in the present state it may be O.C.For example Kamma caste is B.C in Karnataka State but in Andhra Pradesh they are O.C.The state will treat your caste basing on their categorization in the state.
