• Parking space for tenants

I am staying in mohali. I am facing the problem of bike parking in public space.

I park my bike at the boundary of public park, but the owners of house, whose home is located in front of the park does not allow me to park the bike there claiming that tenant cannot park the vehicles there and it is responsibility of landlords to make available the parking space.

How this can be solved as they cannot claim the space just on the basis that their house is located in front of park so other cannot use that space.

See if it is common space for parking the owner cannot deny you there but since the area is not designated for parking the owner and society can take objection on same. Ask you landlord to get a parking space allocated.

House owner can not dictate parking in a public space

2) you don’t have to bow down to his pressure tactics

3) since it is not a no parking zone you can park your bike in public space

Dear sir/ma'am,

As a general rule, it is the duty of the landlord to provide space to tenants. If in your case, the landlord has not provided, you can use the public space.

Now, coming to the question of people objecting to park your vehicle. Since it's a public place, they can't stop you but the society can if they norms. In such scanerio, ask them to send you a legal notice with reasons as to why can your vehicle be not parked.

Hope this clarifies.

You can park your bike there as long as you are not causing any nuisance to the people were living nearby as it is not a private property and belongs to the public.

Hi,

You have not intimated about the space availability at your owner place. You are suggested to ask your owner to provide parking space.

They have no say in parking car but neither public place can be used for parking.  They will call the police. And police will seize the vehicle.

if space is "no parking zone", you can't park your vehicle but if it is just a public place you surely can park your vehicle,

If it is a public road or public park then you can politely inform them that you are not parking the vehicle in their property but on the public place for which you also pay the taxes.

If they dont listen to your polite approach then you may ask them to proceed in the maner they want to but face the music of law if they  are arrogantly doing some illegal things on this.

You can lodge a complaint against them for damaging your property which will make them to get scared even though they may jump from earth to sky that you are giving false complaint, but until they dont come for any compromise you dont withdraw the complaint.

Dear sir

Make him understand that the place in front of the park doesn't belong to some private person as you are not parking the bike in front of his house. And You should file a complaint to the authorities of the area that this person is obstructing the use of public area by saying that this space belongs to him not the park.
