• Is male escort service legal in india?

Hi
I am deeply embarrassed to ask this question but just for my knowledge and precaution I am asking this.
Few days back I called up an Escort Agency to join as a male escort. First nobody picked up the call but after sometime they called me and asked that if I am interested in joining as a male escort.

They said, you will be earning 25k-30k per client in one day and you will get 7-8 clients in a month. But for joining I will have to pay joining fees which is Rs. 1200. I paid the amount and then they sent me three pictures of ladies, claimed to be my clients and I have to meet them one by one. But for that also I will have to pay some amount which is completely refundable after I finish the client meeting. I paid that amount also but again they asked me some more money for some further process. I kept paying the amount they asked one after another until it reached my capacity to pay. I was hoping that I will get my money back but they were just bluffing and asking for more money in order to refund my previous money. At one point of time it became huge amount of money and I felt that I have lost all the money and will never get it back.

Even after taking so much amount of money they started blackmailing me, saying that if you don't pay the amount client will file a police case as she is a very high profile client and she has lots of money and she will ruin your life.

Although I have not shared any ID or Document to them, neither I have met anyone till now. I just sent my passport size photo on whatsapp as they asked for their verification.

I just want to ask that, am I in deep trouble or they are just blackmailing me for more money?

Escorts are in the same class as prostitutes.

So it is illegal in india.

You should file immediately police complaint against them for blackmailing and recover of your money.

Sir you have been cheated by these people they just took advantage of your vunerability and took amount from you. They were aware of the fact that.since it is such kind of job you will not go to police for recovery of your money so they kept taking the money

Further in India, the male escort service is no where.criminalised they cannot take any step against you

You can file a police complaint against them for cheating and further deny them to pay any further amount. Don't worry they won't be able to take any steps against you.

Dear Client,

You are victim of cheating, these are fake calls, just to extract money. File complain against them that they are blackmailing you and extorted so much money.

Or just abuse them and ignore, no harm to you. You have not done anything criminal so relax.

You dont need to be embarrassed and you have not done anything illegal. They are fraud and cheating you for the pupose of illicit money extortion. I suggest you to file a FIR and lay a trap for them to be caught red handed. Contact me if you wish to file complaint to police or magistrate.

Dear Sir,

Firstly you must ask such questions confidentially. Any way it is illegal. You will get your money back if you turn around and take some other defense. The proposed Male Escort is totally illegal and you can venture to do such things. Any way have to get issue a legal notice and also police complaint against the organizer etc.

Blackmail is an offence. You can definitely approach the Police Station and lodge a complaint. You can even tell them that you will be lodging a Police Complaint if at all they don't pay you your money back. You might get the money back or they might stop blackmailing you any further.

Now coming to the legal point of getting your money back:

A contract is legally valid if and only if it is for a valid cause allowed by law.

Since prostitution is illegal, your contract with them is not recognised by law. So you can't file any case against them for fraud or cheating etc.

But as mentioned above blackmailing is surely a crime. You can file a complaint or warn them that you will file a complaint if they continue.

As far as the client is concerned, even she cannot enforce her right as the whole transaction is illegal. So she cannot do anything legally. And moreover what more can she do with your photograph and your mobile number? Also, she has no transaction with you directly. So you are absolutely safe.

Don't worry.

Its easy to earn money than earning respect..

So its hard and important to earn respect.

A crook can earn money but not the respect.

Earn respect money will automatically fall in place.

Thank you..

Hello,

Judt dont entertain them from now . And if there is no evidence that you agreed to be an escort just file a criminal case or else try to end it by ignoring it.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for disclosing your inner feelings. Disclosing to police never means that you should lodge complaint in person at your risk. It never. You should not disclose your identity and try to bring to the notice of police about such fraud agencies. Never taken it granted even police have some limitations and they may not take action against such agencies. You must make it viral in social media without disclosing your identity. Secondly, there are so many either ways to earn money. I also completed my studies while earning and wrote a book “How to get Scholarships and Stipend”. Think of such ideas and earn. Though world is big but opportunities are at your door step.

Well, the suggestion of approaching the Police was given so that you understand that you have every right to deny and resist their demands and not succrum further to their blackmail.

Also, making use of this provision (by warning them and asking them to pay) you can try to get back your paid money. You need not approach the Police and file a case, but just warn them.

And suppose you do approach the Police station and lodge a complaint, then understand that you don't have to spend anything. Also, you need not go to court or hire an Advocate.

Just letting you know so that you need not worry about approaching the Police to lodge a complaint.

One more thing that you can do is email your complaint to Cyber Police (assuming these transactions have taken place via online). I don't think they will ask you to approach the Police Station and physically lodge the complaint.

From a legal perspective, escort agencies claim that they are dispatching these individuals to provide a social or conversational service, since prostitution laws often forbid taking payment for sex or communicating for the purpose of arranging a contract for sexual services.

Advertisements for escort agencies often carefully skirt the legal line, and avoid specifically offering prostitution or sexual services. This fact in turn is well-known to police and the political powers, who, where prostitution is illegal, usually prefer to act against more visible and problematic street prostitution. There are however, agencies that do go by these laws and do not facilitate prostitution.

Occasionally local law enforcement will do stings with escort agencies, but the the exchange of sex for money is often hard to prove.

However you dont worry about their threats, they may use such methods to extract more money from you hence if in case they once again trouble or torture you, better lodge a complaint to be on the safer side.

You can request animosity before the police and request them to not to reveal any particulars of you in the public or to the media personnel.

This fear should not stop you from lodging criminal complaint to the police so that the culprits do not go scotfree.

1. Your only query is "am I in deep trouble or they are just blackmailing me for more money?".

2. The answer is No.

3. If by chance you are questioned by any law enforcing authority, then you shall have to state that the said party had defined 'Escort' as local guide/companion  whose job also includes running errands and no physical relationship was ever talked about by the said people.

4. No female client is going to put you in trouble for not paying the agency as demanded by them. You are being made fool by the said Agency.
