• Harassment over phone-sms, whatsapp, calls

A person previously my friend is harassing me since past one month on my mobile number by sending non-stop messages and making calls all the time. Most messages are vulgar and degrading in nature.

The issue erupted when I realized he is not a normal person and behave in awkward psychic manner. I stopped talking to him soon after and told him so. After that he is continually harassing and threatening me.

Dear Client,

You can complain the police for stalking, punishable offense under Indian Penal Code. Despite repeated clear indication of disinterest , he is following you, can drive him in jail.

And if you do not want him to face dire consequences than police won`t file complain and intimidate him not to rpeat otherwise fall in jail.

SIMPLE SOLUTION:

1. Just simply block his number on your mobile instrument and you will not receive any SMS /Call /Whatsapp.

LEGAL SOLUTION:

2. You can file a Police FIR, requesting investigation and charge-sheet, for offences like Harassment, Intimidation, Molesting against this person, supported with all relevant supporting documents.

3. IF the Police does not take action, THEN you can file private criminal case u/s 156(3) Cr.P.C., in the local Magistrates court, seeking directions to the Police to investigate and file charge sheet.

Hi,

Police is bound to maintain decency in dealing with such cases. You may ask ladies police help for recording of your statement. The best method is to submit written complaints with screen shots etc. and it will be filed to your local police. Also send copies of complaint to senior police officials of both the cities.
