It is not permitted to house a residential complex on an agricultural land.

If it is constructed without necessary sanction of the local authority or on government land or forcefully occupying proeprty of another owner then in a decree of mandatory injunction unauthorised constructions can be demolished and the land can be handed over to the actual owner.

Than land has to be converted for the Non Agricultural purposes, the said application can be made before the appropriate authority.

After getting the sanctioned map passed then only the construction can be done, other wise the same shall be deemed to be an illegal construction.

If the agricultural land has been used for residential purposes without getting it converted into NA, then the government may initiate steps to demolish the same.

You may aproach court with an injunction suit seeking to restrain government proposed action of demolition on the basis of merits and documentary evidences in your possession to support your claim.
