• Driving trucks with photocopy of Driving License

We have found many drivers carrying trucks in a factory photocopy of the driving license.

Is is valid as per Motor Vehicle Act and the Factory act of India?

Or it is non-compliance, we should not allow them to carry trucks with photocopies of DL?

He must carry a valid license in physical and not photocopy.

Reason: If his license has been compounded by some authority and he is not disclosing the same to you then it might create a problem. Therefore, it becomes your duty to see the documents in original.

It is not necessary to carry physical copies of driving licence any more

Soft copies can be accessed through digital locker aap

In such case manager / occupier would not be held responsible for failure of driver to carry original licence

1. It is no more mandatory to carry the original license in physical form.

2. Now one can store the soft copy of the driving license and RC of the vehicle in digital locker and show it to a policeman on demand.
