• Seeking legal divorce as per Christian act

I belong to Christian community and been married to a divorcee in 2012. From the day of my marriage, there were various cases where I started to lose my faith and love for my wife. Decided to also not have any kids. I couldn't agree with my wife for staying together when we moved to Bangalore as I wanted to stay apart from her. There had been no email or phone conversations from her end and if at all any, it was only from my end asking her to spend time with me during weekends so that we understand more each other on expectations and whether she could maintain a good life with me despite the damage she created to my family stating unrelated financial reasons for our separation after marriage. My mother is also suffering severe depression because of all these allegations. She used to come once a month and then stops coming for couple of months. Now, it has been more than 3 years that we lived together and now she has settled in Denmark for the past 2months. Before that, she was working in Denmark as a client for 1 year. Is there a way I could proceed with divorce? She might still want to cling onto this relation just because she is divorcee and she needs a husband when she grows weak and old and no one to support from her family. I cant bear to serve a position like that for me. Pl do advise me as per Christian act.

You may contact a local lawyer for filing the case on the ground of cruelty.

Since she has been living away, it also amounts to mental cruelity.

You can very well decide to dissolve this marriage by a decree of divorce through a court of law.

You can file a contested divorce on the grounds of mental cruelty and desertion since she has abandoned the matrimonial home for more than two years.

Consult a local lawyer and proceed.
