• Regarding my name

Aadhaar card was issued to me using my 10th matriculation certificate from Andhra Pradesh board. In that certificate my name was in the format : surname and then first name.
Hence my Aadhaar has my name in the same format.
I would like my name to be in first name then surname format. I have my passport which can be proof for my identity, address and date of birth( since passport has separate columns for first and last names), and so I thought I could change my name format in Aadhaar and pan card.
But I'll still have different format name when these documents will be compared with my certificates (10th,12th and my btech). I have completed my btech this year. My concern is do i also try to change my name format in certificates or if not, will this format difference cause me any problems in the future?( I have completed my 10th in 2011, 12th in 2013 , btech 2017, all certificates -- AP board).

You don't have to change name format in your educational certificates

It would not cause any problems in future

3) it is practice on school board , college board to write surname first followed by name

As long as your name in your Aadhar card and all you r educational certificates is the same, why do you wish to change it. In my belief you may not go ahead with any change, otherwise you'll have to unnecessarily need to get your name corrected in all your educational docs as well.

Well the adhaar card was issued to you containing your name in the format in which it is written on your matric certificate. So you have to first get the format reversed on your matriculation certificate and then only you may apply for it to be replicated on your adhaar.

If the spelling of your name and surname remains same in all the documents then you have nothing to worry about the order in which it is used.

However if you think there would be scope for future confusion out of this you may consider making an affidavit before the magistrate and then making a newspaper publication.

This should take care of anomaly if any with regard to order of your name and mistakes in spelling, if any.

The names in the educational certificates canot be changed at this stage.

You can get the name changed in the aadhar card based on the facts and the documents in your possession.

this will not cause any difficulty in future, please do not worry about the same. This difference is there in several places, just be sure that it is just a puzzle between first name and last name and not otherwise.
