You should have filed complaint before consumer forum and sought compensation for delay in delivery of possession by 2 years
2) as on date you have already sold the property
3) your claim would not be entertained by consumer forum now
Delay in possesion
I bought property in prestige park view in 2012 in resale, the possession was expected in dec 2014 however got email regarding possession in nov 2016.i have sold the property in may 2017 however would like to claim compensation due to delay . please advise.

1. you are entitled for compensation, it does not matter that you have sold the property.
2. you should file a case before the consumer forum for payment of interest for delayed period, mental agony and cost along with expenses of the litigation.
If the builder delayed possession beyond the stipulated period, you may claim penalty or interest towards the period of delay.
But you should have taken possession before selling it.
