• Can my ex wife take insurance on me by forging my signature

Sir,
I have been divorce order in feb 2015. I know my ex wife had forged her sisters signature into one of insurance claim on her father's death in accident.

My ex wife is a greedy woman and she can do anything to get money. I have strong suspicion that my wife has taken insurance on me by forging my signature and also providing false address proof. I do not know if my divorce decree can make the nominee a void. I do not have any bond or something but I can definitely say if she has taken insurance on me and mentioned nominee, and i do not have proof, what can I do?

I have married another lady now. Please advise.

Mere suspicion is not sufficient to file case of forgery against your ex wife

2) gather documentary evidence of forgery by wife

3) if you are able to prove that you never applied for insurance policy then policy taken in your name would be null and void

4) your wife as nominee would not be entitled to insurance amount

1. Without knowing whether she has made any such insurance for you or not, you can not act.

2. If she is so smart, she may not state that she has been divorced from you while claiming the insurance amount.

3. It will be prudent on your part to buy an insurance policy and make your present wife as your nominee and from the said insurance agent dealing your case, try to find out from the computer data bank whether any insurance policy has been purchased in your name or not.

4. If any such police has been fund to be purchased in your name fraudulently by your divorced wife, write a letter to the Insurance Company to get the same cancelled and ask the,m to report the matter to police.

2.Also inform themto make all communications with you in wiriting in your address.

.3If thereafter she commits the mistake she would be in great trouble as it is serious criminal offence.

If you suspect your wife to have played fraud and obtained an insurance policy on your name by forging your signatures, you may visit the concerned insurance office and verify the same by giving your particulars to the office. Since it is fully computerised you have chances to get the details.

If confirmed, then you my write to the insurance company management about this fraud and seek to cancel the policy immediately owing to the fake insurance policy purchased at the behest of the fraudster wife.

Dear Querist

you should send an application before your insurance department and request from them to delete her name from your policy and in future she shall be not able to claim anything on behalf of you. after this if she claim anything from insurance department on behalf of you then she can be prosecuted for forgery.
