1. wife and children are the legal heir of your husband's self acquired property.

2. children are the legal heir of your husband's ancestral property.

1. After the death of husband, the legal heirs are his mother (if alive), wife & children.

2. However it should be noted that if he had executed a WILL before death, then after his death the property would devolve to the beneficiaries as per his narration.

3. In the alternate scenario if he has died intestate (without executing a WILL), then his self acquired property would devolve equally to his mother (if alive), wife & children.
