Yes, no bar. Once retired. X govt. employee is no more subject to service rules. And pension is right of employee for past service served. No impact on pension on starting business.

There is no legal bar for a government pensioner to earn money out of any lawful trade and commerce.

So act accordingly in compliance of necessary legal formalities.

1. Yes, you can very well start your own business and earn profit despite being a retired State govt. employee drawing pension.

2. The restriction in doing business was applicable when you were in service and not after your retirement.

-  As per law , there is no restrictions for a retired employee getting pension from the state government , wants to start a business.

- But, some government pensions have a clause for three year restriction, where the pension benefit is reduced if the retired person has other income in excess of a certain level , hence you should check the Pension rules book.

There is no restriction for you to start your own business after retirement from government services.

You can choose the business that you desire to start and go ahead by complying with the necessary formalities as envisaged in law.
